Chaena B. Dade specializes in general litigation and transactional matters with an emphasis on business litigation, automotive dealer law, and consumer litigation.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dade’s civil litigation practice primarily focused on defending public entities from negligence claims and civil rights claims, defending healthcare and long-term care facilities against claims of negligence and wrongful death, as well as prosecuting and defending employees and employers in a wide range of labor disputes.  She is involved in all aspects of litigation from start to finish in state and federal court, including law and motion practice, discovery, mediation, and pre-trial litigation.  Ms. Dade is well-versed in commercial real estate transactions, with experience preparing lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, operations transfer agreements, and corporate governance agreements. 

Ms. Dade attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia for her undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 2010.  Ms. Dade pursued her legal studies at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was a recipient the H. Claude Hudson Academic Scholarship award.  While at Loyola Law School, Ms. Dade served as Vice President of the National Lawyers Guild and Social Chair for the Black Law Students’ Association.  She also volunteered her time at the Domestic Violence and Family Law Clinic at the Santa Monica Courthouse and the Board of Equalization’s Tax Appeals Assistance Program to provide pro bono services to underrepresented and underserved individuals.  Ms. Dade’s directed research on emerging issues regarding variances in fiduciary duties for California LLC’s versus Delaware LLC’s was incorporated into a business law professor’s revised textbook. 

Ms. Dade currently serves as a member of the John M. Langston Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and The Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
