Manning, Leaver, Bruder & Berberich, LLP authored the new sixth edition of the California New Car Dealers Association's F&I Compliance Manual.  In conjunction with the CNCDA, partners Brent W. Smith and Gary H. Prudian held seminars across the state to introduce dealers to the new manual and to address compliance issues.  Smith and Prudian apprised dealers of trending issues in F&I compliance, common mistakes, the costly litigation that can arise when compliance goals are not met, and practical strategies for attaining compliance goals.

The F&I Compliance Manual was drafted to assist California dealers with legal compliance in finance and insurance (F&I) areas.  The manual is organized intuitively to allow dealers to quickly receive compliance assistance for the particular issue at hand.  Manning, Leaver utilized its decades-worth of experience in representing dealers to make the manual both comprehensive and easily-accessible for dealers.  The manual covers dozens of topics including intake and credit processing, deal negotiation, deal documentation, post-contract issues, and policy considerations.
